Kanten policies
Terms of use
Version 2.2 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Kanten is a software service operated by KASANE PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN: 202643808R), with its registered office at 160 Robinson Road, #14-04, Singapore Business Federation Center, Singapore 068914. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to KASANE PTE. LTD. For product and billing enquiries, please use our Contact us form. Please read these terms together with the Privacy, AI use, Cookies and Billing notices. A separately agreed written contract takes priority to the extent of a conflict. Nothing here removes a right or duty that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms apply to the extent a valid agreement is formed under applicable law. Where we ask you to accept them, do not proceed unless you agree. Simply publishing revised terms does not prove that an existing user accepted a new exclusion of liability or that an earlier claim has been waived. Material contractual changes requiring acceptance will be presented for that purpose.
You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering the relevant agreement. If acting for an employer, client or other organisation, you must have authority to use the service and submit its material. Do not imply that your organisation has approved Kanten where it has not. Geographic availability does not override local restrictions or third-party provider availability.
2. The service and its limits
Kanten helps organise requirements, functions, test viewpoints, review decisions and draft test cases. It supports human review and export of the records offered by the interface. It does not run your software tests, inspect your entire codebase, certify compliance, guarantee complete coverage or decide whether a release is safe. A label such as reviewed, covered or must test records workflow information, not an independent assurance.
The current release includes free features, a limited free AI allowance, a paid Solo subscription and one-time credit packs. Team is not currently available for purchase. Features, input sizes, supported workflows and concurrency are limited. Planned functionality and coming-later labels are not a commitment to deliver a feature or offer it on a particular date.
3. Accounts, credentials and invitations
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials and recovery email access secure, and notify us of suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for use you authorise and for reasonable precautions within your control. This does not make you automatically liable for activity caused by our own breach or override mandatory protections. Do not share passwords or sell an account.
Invitation links are access-bearing information for their intended recipients. Workspace owners must check addresses and roles before granting access and remove access when it is no longer appropriate. A workspace plan or administrator change can affect shared access. Revoking access does not recall exports or copies already held by another person.
4. Your content and the permission to process it
You retain the rights you have in material you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, transmit, format and process that material as necessary to provide the requested service, apply permissions, generate requested AI output, maintain security, troubleshoot and comply with law. We may use the providers identified in the Privacy notice for those purposes. This is not a transfer of your ownership or permission to sell your content or use it in advertising.
You must have the rights and lawful authority needed for your submissions and instructions, including employer or client authorisation and any personal-data notices or permissions. Use synthetic examples where possible. Do not submit production secrets, credentials, unnecessary sensitive personal data, export-restricted information or material subject to controls we have not separately agreed to meet. Contact us before using Kanten for a regulated or unusually confidential workload.
5. AI output, intellectual property and review
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, biased or similar to material generated for others. It may invent assumptions, miss a risk, propose an unsuitable expected result or contain material that needs a rights check. You must review, correct and test the output before using it in delivery, publication, compliance or operational decisions. Do not use it as the sole basis for decisions that could cause personal injury, significant loss or denial of someone’s rights.
As between you and us, we do not claim ownership of your project-specific AI output and, to the extent we hold assignable rights in it, assign those rights to you. This does not create copyright where none exists, guarantee exclusivity or clear third-party rights. Our software, branding and reusable system components remain ours or their licensors’. You receive only the access rights needed to use the service in accordance with the applicable agreement.
6. Prohibited use and responsible testing
Do not use the service unlawfully; infringe intellectual property or privacy; upload malware; impersonate someone; access another workspace without permission; bypass authentication, limits or payment controls; exploit the free allowance through multiple accounts; scrape private data; send unsolicited or abusive contact messages; or interfere with availability. Do not attempt to extract secret system credentials or use the service as a relay for arbitrary email or model requests.
Designing tests for a system you are authorised to test is permitted. That does not authorise security testing against Kanten or its providers. Report a suspected vulnerability through Contact us without exploiting it further, accessing unnecessary data or publicly exposing another person’s information. We may investigate credible abuse and preserve relevant evidence in accordance with law.
7. Credits, payments and existing entitlements
The Billing notice describes paid plans and credit packs, usage calculation, renewal, cancellation and refunds. KASANE PTE. LTD. is the seller of current paid offers. Credits are a limited permission to consume in-service AI capacity, not a bank balance, investment, currency or a payment-transfer facility. They are not transferable or redeemable for cash except where a refund or other remedy is required by law or expressly agreed.
Free access is not a promise of unlimited usage or perpetual availability. We may adjust prospective free limits to manage capacity and abuse, with appropriate notice where practicable. Buying a subscription does not remove your unused free credits. Cancellation stops future subscription renewals as described in the Billing notice; it does not erase separately purchased credit-pack balances. Material changes to paid commitments must respect the applicable transaction terms and mandatory law.
8. Third-party services and links
Kanten depends on hosting, authentication, database, email, AI and payment providers. Their interruptions or changes can affect Kanten. An external link does not mean we control that site. Where you enter a separate contract directly with a provider, that contract governs the separate relationship. Our use of a provider does not automatically transfer all responsibility for our own service or statutory duties to that provider.
9. Availability, changes and backups
Unless separately agreed, no uptime percentage, response-time service level, recovery point, recovery time or uninterrupted availability is promised. Maintenance, provider outages, input limits and defects may prevent an operation. Save important source materials and permitted exports in systems appropriate for your needs. Browser state and AI drafts should not be your only copy of critical work.
We may correct defects, change features or discontinue a function for reasonable operational, security or legal reasons. Where practicable, material withdrawal of an active function will be communicated and a reasonable opportunity to export supported content provided. Urgent protective action may precede notice. This clause does not authorise us to disregard existing paid obligations or statutory remedies.
10. Warranties and professional reliance
To the extent lawfully permitted, the service and AI drafts are provided on an as-available basis without a promise that they will be error-free, complete, suitable for every purpose or free from all third-party claims. No legal, regulatory, security, medical or other professional certification is provided. You should use qualified review appropriate to the consequences of your use.
These qualifications do not exclude an express commitment we have made, a mandatory consumer guarantee, a duty to take reasonable care that cannot lawfully be excluded, or a data-protection obligation. A user’s duty to review AI output is not permission for us to make misleading claims or avoid our own applicable obligations.
11. Limits of liability
Subject to the exceptions below and only where the limitation is lawful and reasonable, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss arising from the service. For business users, this includes loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings to the extent it is indirect or consequential. Foreseeable direct loss is not excluded merely because it involves data or a business activity.
Where a valid agreement incorporating this limit exists and applicable law permits it, our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of SGD 100 and the fees you actually paid us for the affected service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This is an aggregate contractual limit, not a representation that it is enforceable in every case. Any statutory reasonableness or fairness requirement still applies.
No exclusion or cap applies to fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, deliberate unlawful conduct, amounts lawfully due as refunds or repayment, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Nothing restricts a regulator’s powers, a person’s non-waivable statutory claim, or the obligation to comply with applicable data-protection law. If a limit fails the applicable legal test, that limit applies only to the extent the law allows; it does not become an unlimited waiver by the user.
12. Third-party claims caused by misuse
For business users only, and subject to applicable law, you agree to reimburse reasonable losses and defence costs finally awarded or agreed in a settlement you approve, to the extent a third-party claim is caused by your unlawful submission, infringement of another person’s rights or intentional misuse. This does not cover loss caused by our breach, negligence or unlawful conduct and is not a blanket consumer indemnity.
We must give reasonably prompt notice of a claim, allow reasonable participation in the defence, take reasonable steps to reduce loss and not agree a settlement imposing admissions or obligations on you without your approval. Your statutory rights to challenge liability are preserved.
13. Suspension, closure and surviving rights
We may proportionately restrict or suspend access to address credible misuse, a security risk, a legal requirement or an applicable unpaid obligation. Where appropriate we will explain the reason and allow correction or review. We may act immediately where delay would create risk or violate law. Account closure can be requested through Contact us; ownership of a shared workspace and obligations to other members must be considered.
Closure does not erase accrued payment or refund rights, third-party copies, lawful records or a claim that already arose. Content rights, lawful retention, limitations that are validly agreed, dispute provisions and other terms intended by their nature to survive continue only as applicable. Cancellation of a subscription and deletion of an account are separate actions.
14. Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory laws that apply to you, an agreement incorporating these terms is governed by Singapore law. The Singapore courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer may still use a court or remedy that mandatory local law makes available, and anyone may contact a competent regulator. There is no compulsory arbitration, class-action waiver or shortened statutory claim period in these terms.
We encourage you to explain a concern through Contact us so it can be investigated. That is not a condition that prevents urgent relief, a statutory complaint or a time-sensitive claim. If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues to the extent it can lawfully stand. Failure to enforce a term once is not a permanent waiver.
15. Updates, language and changes of operator
Revisions are dated and apply prospectively subject to required notice and acceptance. KASANE PTE. LTD. is the current operator. This update does not by itself transfer earlier contracts, discharge the previous operator’s liabilities or waive an existing user’s rights. Any assignment or transfer will respect applicable law and required consent, including for personal data. Any subsequent change of operator will be separately identified.
English and Japanese versions are provided. If their meaning differs, the English text is intended to control to the extent permitted by law, without reducing mandatory protections associated with a local-language transaction. Notices and requests can be submitted through Contact us. A separately agreed signed arrangement controls over inconsistent website language.
